The launch took place during the inaugural UBA Aggregator Engagement Session themed “POS-itive Impact: Connecting Agents, Merchants, and Customers,” which brought together industry aggregators, Point-of-Sale partners and network managers to align strategies for expanding the bank’s agency ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Director Designate for Digital Banking at United Bank for Africa, Emmanuel Lamptey, described partnerships as central to achieving national financial inclusion objectives.
Emmanuel Lamptey said the engagement marked a pivotal step in strengthening the ecosystem that connects the bank to communities through reliable financial services.

Delivering the keynote address, the Head of Digital Banking at United Bank for Africa, Shamsideen Fashola, outlined the strategic intent behind the UBA Aggregator Structure.
Shamsideen Fashola said the framework was designed to be scalable, transparent and mutually rewarding, equipping partners with the technology and support required to drive agent productivity and reach under-served communities.
According to the bank, the model offers agents and aggregators instant settlement, reliable transaction processing and real-time dashboard reporting.
The platform also supports dispute management, terminal management, analytics, card withdrawals, bill payments and pay-with-transfer services.
For aggregators, the structure provides a formal pathway to onboard and manage agents within the bank’s network, with access to incentives, commissions and a dedicated admin portal for monitoring agent performance and transactions.

The Head of Agency Banking at United Bank for Africa, Adetunji Iyiola, said the initiative was built around improving collaboration between the bank, merchants and agents to enhance customer service delivery.
Adetunji Iyiola said the rollout was aimed at creating value for stakeholders while equipping partners with tools and incentives needed to thrive in delivering essential banking services at the community level.
United Bank for Africa said the introduction of the UBA Aggregator Structure reinforces its position in deploying digital financial solutions to bridge the financial inclusion gap and support economic empowerment.
